CHICKEN POX


Chickenpox is caused by a virus called varicella zoster. Anyone can get chickenpox but it mainly affects children. Chickenpox is caused by the varicella-zoster virus, also known as human herpes virus 3, one of the eight herpes viruses known to affect humans.
To prevent from children from chicken pox, doctors recommend chickenpox vaccine when they are 12 to 15 months old and a booster shot at 4 to 6 years old.
