A highly contagious horse disease has put some Oregonians in a near-panic about their steeds’ welfare, but Oregon State University is having a seminar Wednesday to dispel misconceptions about equine herpes virus-1.
The virus is not known to have a harmful impact on humans.
Fever, malaise and nasal discharge are common clinical signs.
