Israel's Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd said U.S. health regulators granted marketing approval for its generic version of Novartis AG's genital herpes drug Famvir. However, Teva said it has agreed not to launch the generic until the conclusion of the Sept. 5 hearing of a patent infringement lawsuit brought by Novartis.
The generic drugmaker said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has awarded it a 180-day marketing exclusivity as it is the first company to apply for the generic version containing a paragraph IV certification...read more
